Sunday, February 5, 2012 = Day 36 - Technology
There are some days I really love technology. I can also say I have a love/hate relationship with it. Of course this can happen all in the course of 1 day. I love that I can access my YouVersion Bible App most of the time. I don't like it when I'm trying to use it in service to get to something in the Bible and it doesn't connect. Sunday School time and YouVersion was on point. Main service time, I wasn't so glad. We are doing a daily reading plan currently called Come Drink Live365 and tomorrow we are going to introduce our children to it at 5:00 am! Isn't that great? I'm trying to discipline myself more and I've gone 36 days without watching any TV in this house at all. I am of the opinion that you need to fill your life with positive things and what could be more positive than God's Word? Some won't agree with this but I'm going to keep it positive. LOL. So glad that technology can help me to reach my goals. Technology is also a great thing because on a day like today where I would normally enjoy television by watching the Super Bowl (because of my vow) I'm unable to. I got a really great app for my Android that sends me all kinds of info on games that I'm interested in. Scoremobile is a great app to have. Other apps I have enjoyed this year so far are Tune-In (an app that has all kinds of radio stations from around the world that I can access over my Wi Fi hotspot or over 3G network.) Pandora (almost the same thing as Tune-in but with stations you set up yourself according to preferences. You can like or dislike certain artist to keep them from showing up again in your stream.) Pulse ( a customizable news, blog, and magazine service. It combines many popular information services into one easy to reach app so that you can have all kinds of preset places to go for fun, news, recipes, technology info, cars, comic strips etc. LOVE This one.) Of course 2 other apps I enjoy are Google+ and Blogger. I can access my account and my blog and read them or update them at will. Since I'm not doing Facebook this year either it is amazing how much room I have on my phone for all these cool apps. I'll be up bright and early to share Bible reading, technology, and prayer time with our kids in the morning. Pray with us and for us as we rise to seek God and instill a love for God's word in our children.
