Day 2 - New Challenges (Originally posted on January 2nd)
Wow what a night we had. A water main break left 75% of the city without water yesterday night. We have water again but we are under a boil advisory until further notice. My son, Jared, who usually drinks Kool-Aid asked for water saying, "Mom, I like water. I wish we had some." In addition to that my cell phone either got a virus or had a software problem of some sort. It's getting an error message and then begins to vibrate and won't stop. I didn't sign up for that! So today my plan is to go to my carrier and have them look at it. I'm hoping I'll catch them open today. My wife and I are trying to start our year out positively so we woke up this morning and listened to the Bible on her phone. We use you version and you can find it here: http://www.youversion.com/I mentioned yesterday that the person reading it sounds like Kelsey Grammer. It is very easy to listen to and seems to go by very quickly.I also started reading a book last night by Mark Levin, called Liberty and Tyranny.
Mr. Levin is one of the most intelligent people I've ever listened to and is right on the money with his positions. Here's his bio. I noticed that he worked for Edwin Meese and in Ronald Reagan's administration which gives me even more desire to read this book. Be warned however that a lot of his stuff is not exactly Dick and Jane fare. You will be challenged by some of the language and the ideas. I'm going to try to finish this one within the week.I'm off from work today and kids are off from school so we'll spend some time together. Tomorrow it is back to the grind. Now to go boil some water and then make some coffee.Blessings,Macario
