Day 11 - Mid Week, Books Cost Bucks, and Pump It Up (from Jan. 11th)

Well it is mid week.  That's right: Wednesday.  Wednesday is a good day but it is a busy day.  It is the day I feel most tired I think.  This is the day we rush around the most trying to eat dinner and get to church on time and today we made it.  We sang some older songs we haven't sung in a while.  I didn't say old because I don't want to categorize them as used up our outdated. The songs we sang are still relevant to us today. We sang a song today that had motions and my kids looked at my wife and me like we were crazy.  I said, "Now you guys have to do the motions too.  I'm not doing this by myself". Of course my daughter pursing her lips tightly as she spoke said, "Really Dad?!?!?!?!"  "UH YES,"  I exclaimed.  The cool thing about this is that by the time we sang it through 4 times everyone was smiling and enjoying themselves. The song goes like this:

Praise The Lord

Praise The Lord

Let all God's People Praise The Lord

Shake off those heavy bands

Lift up those holy hands

Let all God's people, Praise The Lord

So we got into it and enjoyed ourselves and I really think that it set the tone for a great service and a study on Haggai tonight.  What a great time we shared.

Aside from that I finally got my school money and I bought my books.  Parting with 500 smackaroos in about 30 seconds is so difficult at times.  I am having my books shipped to me from school.  Sad thing is that they didn't have my lab manual so I may have to go to the bookstore to locate it.  I really didn't want to have to go over there if I didn't have to but I may have to brave the crowds and lines to get the book.  We'll see.

School starts next Monday and I will be doing all my classes at night.  Pray that God would give me strength.  I'm already exhausted after an 8 hour long work day.  I hope I can adjust.

On another note I bought the water pump that my car so desperately needs.  I am debating whether or not I should attempt to change it out myself.  It seems pretty straight forward but if something can go wrong it probably will.  I'll decide by Friday.  I may have to go to the library for the Chilton Auto Repair Manual that gives all the necessary information for making auto repairs with pictures and step by step instructions.  Of course I could just do what most men do and tear it apart and figure it all out later.  We'll see.
